I can feel it underneath my skin
like worms digging their way in
I lay beside you in the dark
never understanding what you are
I can feel your breath hot on my neck
there is nothing left to hold you back
I stare into
the cold black hole
where nothing can escape
I feel it pulling me
towards the end
I let it lure me in and tear me apart
I let it wrap around my neck like a serpent
suffocate the air within in my lungs
close my eyes and fall into the darkness of my love
allow myself
to shed my skin
and be who i really am
I watch the light
dance on the horizon
there is no way
to escape
from here
all that I am is gone
and I never can be
anything again
the blackened water calls to me
I'm waiting to be pulled underneath
I stare into
the cold black hole
I finally feel free
let myself sink
and dissolve into dust
